Artist Open Call: Criminal Justice Gallery
The Paul Robeson Galleries and the Department of Criminal Justice at Rutgers University in Newark collaborate to produce two exhibitions per year which focus on themes related to criminal justice (in the broadest sense possible). These works are displayed at an interstitial gallery in the Department of Criminal Justice and are accessible to faculty, staff, students and the public. Recent exhibitions have addressed access to medical care within the prison system, the endemic issue of gun violence, justice and activism, the implementation and ramifications of our systems of law and justice. Please take a moment to review our previous exhibitions on our website we have a focus on contemporary art and support artists from all walks of life.
Artists will be paid an artist fee for participation in the exhibition, and additional payments for program participation.
